Day 5

I made a difference today by helping my mum make some food for my brother and I to eat.
I knew I made a difference because my mom was shocked. I could see in her eyes that she was thinking: why is my son doing this all of sudden?
I was shocked myself because I never ever do this kind of thing with my mum and I was happy because I made something for myself to eat and I know that I will have to do this when I grow up.
My brother was involved but I don't think he had any feelings.

This is the difference I made today

Day 4

Today is Sunday 30th of March.
The good deed I did today was helping my mom carry 2 plastic bags full of feijoas from my garage up to my house.
I know I made a difference because she had to go hang the families clothes on the washing line in my garden.
I felt normal because I always do these deeds for my mum without her even asking.
If anyone else was involved I think that they would be thinking I am a very good boy to me mum.

I made a difference today by doing this good deed.

Day 3

Today I made a difference for Cameron(also in room 9 making a difference) because he wanted to download something on his computer but he has dial-up internet speed. I downloaded it for him, put the files on my MP4 and took it to his house and put it on his computer.
I know I made a difference because he said he wanted to buy me something to eat at school on Monday.
I felt good that I was able to help someone out that I only knew for a few weeks.
If another person was involved I think that he/she would be quite happy because I helped someone and I had to walk 500 meters to the persons house.

This is the good deed I did for Saturday 29th of March

Day 2

Today I made a difference for my mum because she was going to do the dishes at dinner but I did them for her.
I made a difference because I don't normally do them, my brother does them and he has gone on camp and my mum had some other work to do.
I felt tired but great because it was worth the time doing it otherwise the plates and bowls will stay dirty for another day...
There weren't any other people involved with the difference because only my mom and I were there.

This is the difference that I made today.

Day 1

Today, 27th March 2008 is the start of my 17 days of making a difference.

I made a difference to my tutor at my after school commitment by helping her take out 10 dictionaries from the cupboard for her without being asked and 1 dictionary is really heavy!
I knew I made a difference because the dictionaries are heavy and my tutor is old and is already a grandmother.
I felt good because being able to help her out was not only great for her, but also affected me because I made a difference to someone. The other people that might have been affected were the other people getting tutored because they wouldn't have to carry the dictionaries.

This is the difference I made for today.

[Start]17 Days to make a difference

Each person in room 9 is making a difference to a persons life each day for 17 days starting from the 27th of March 08.
The way we do this is doing something good for someone each day and by being a great citizen.
I make a good citizen because I am a good help to other people and I would contribute to the community.
Things that make a good citizen are being friendly to others and obeying the rules. A great citizen is someone who is understanding and a person who encourages others to do the right thing.
I can be a good citizen because I be myself constantly and I respect the other citizens.
