Day 17

Today is the last day of our 17 days difference blogging.
I was at KFC today and there was a Chinese man that didn't know English. He asked me to translate for him so I did. He wanted the dinner for 2 meal with his wife.
I made a difference because he might have bought the wrong thing if he tried to buy it by himself.
He said thank you in English and he shook my hand.

Day 16

Today when I was at school, my friend was 20 cents off buying a donut school cafe. I knew that 20 cents is not much money so I gave him my only 20 cents since 20 cents by itself couldn't buy much at the school cafe.
I knew I made a difference because he gave me a bit of the donut without me asking him and he said he would pay me back but I didn't need him to pay me back because 20 cents is almost worthless.
This was not a big difference but I was at least happy that I could get some of the doughnut for myself and I was also able to prevent him from being hungry for the day.

Day 15

After my tuition today a boy was waiting for his mom to pick him up but he waited a long time and no one came. He was about to cry but then I cheered him up and told him a few jokes until his mom came to pick him up.
I made a difference because it would've caused the people them quite a bit of trouble because they'd have to call his parents and do a lot of things because he would be crying.
Lot's of people have gone home already but I was still there. One of my friends their saw me and called me a nice guy. I felt great because my friend gave me a positive feedback and I found it quite fun to be able to cheer up a little kid.

Day 14

Today I made a difference by putting up all the chairs afterschool when everyone left and put the green sheet of the computers because the person that was supposed to do it forgot to.
I know I made a difference because if I never put the green sheet over the computer someone walking passed the school could see it and might break in to take it.
I did someones job for them so they didn't have to do it themselves even though they had already gone home.
I am very happy that I did something so little but meant a lot to me.

Day 13

Tonight I helped Cameron from room 9 by making blogger.com on his computer work.
It wasn't working on his computer because it said that his Javascript wasn't enabled and his cookies were disabled.
I know I made a difference because I saved him by making blogger work on his computer and saved some of his time because he would have had to write down his good deed on a piece of paper instead of typing it on computer.
I felt great because I was able to put my computer skills to good use.

Day 12

I helped Mrs Dada (my teacher) set up the beep test that we were doing for fitness with Joel(also another class member making differences for 17 days.
I know I made a difference because our teacher thanked us for setting it up and afterwards when we returned the gear needed to set up.
I feel great because I just like doing this and hopefully I can continue doing good things for others outside of the 17 days of making a difference assignment.

Day 11

Today when I was with my family and some of our friends we went to Eastern Beach.
Our friends had a 4 year old son that wanted to play near the water but he didn't have anyone to supervise him because his parents were busy talking with my parents so I took him down to the water instead of his parents having to do it.
I knew I made a difference because if one of his parents had to take him down to the water then that means that my parents and his parents wouldn't have much fun because they would lose a person to talk to.
I felt kind of bored because I had nothing to do but at least I had something to do and to enter into my blog but it was worth helping because they're good friends of my family.
Others that were involved were his parents and my parent I think they were happy that I was able to help.

Day 10

The difference I made tonight is when I took some time off to clean my own room without my parents telling me to.
I knew I made a difference because my room was really messy before and it had been this way for a few weeks or maybe a few months.
I felt shocked that my room was so tidy and I had so much wide open space. It only took me less than 20 minutes.
No one else was involved but I bet my parents might act weird since my room is so tidy. But they hardly ever go into my room anyway because of its mess.

Day 9

Today when I was outside with some of my friends, some old grandpa came up to me and asked me where a student of our school was because he left something in the car and forgot to take it.
I knew the person that the grandpa was looking for and took him to the persons room.
I know I made a difference because he looked really relieved when he saw the persons bag and he gave me a big smile and a thank you.
I felt good because I wasn't even thinking it felt like as if my body automatically did the good things for him.
The student the old grandpa was looking for was really happy when I told him that his grandpa got the thing that he left behind.

I made a big difference for someone today.

Day 8

I helped class members David and Steven which are also in Room 9 being citizens and making differences today by helping them clean the surface of their desk because pencil marks were all over it.
I know I made a difference because both of them said thank you and they looked shocked because their desks had marks on them.
I felt overjoyed because if we had never started this 17 days assignment I don't think that I would've helped them wipe their desks without being asked.

Day 7

I made a difference today by helping David(also in Room 9 making differences) by helping him take the projector back to the ICT classroom at our school.
I know I made a difference because he said that it was quite hard to do it by yourself because you had to open door whilst pushing in the projector.
I felt good because I was able to help out a classmate.

Day 6

Today I helped my Mum dry the clothes that were on the washing line because this morning the weather looked great but then it started pouring with rain and the clothing got wet and soaked.
I know I made a difference because my mum said thank you and I know that this is something that I never do(it might just be the first time in my life I have done this).
I felt extremely and more than happy because this is the first time I have ever done this.
My Dad was involved and he said that he would buy me a new TV during this week because it was my birthday.

This is the great deed I did as a citizen for the 1st of April.
